A set of resource bundles containing one Māori language textbook and one complimentary study guide for adults and teenagers from beginner to upper-intermediate level.
Māori Language Bundles
These bundles were created to arm learners with the most effective combination of physical resources of the Te Whanake textbooks, for the best value.
Dialogues or texts of interest to adult learners. Each of these contains a limited and manageable amount of new language. Authentic texts become increasingly important as learners work through the series. These have been selected as models of quality language.
New grammar and usage contained in the dialogues and texts of each chapter are explained, with examples.
Extra vocabulary.
Each contain grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing exercises for independent study. These allow the student to practise the language introduced and explained in the corresponding chapter of the textbook.
There are further explanations of grammar points.
Suggestions are also given to help students with the more general skills underlying language acquisition such as: deducing meaning from context, using words correctly, and reading for meaning.
